How does it work?

A PDO thread lift is a treatment that can address problems of facial skin laxity. It is a non-surgical option that lifts and tightens facial skin. Threads are introduced to the facial tissue at the hairline to act as temporary sutures that are pulled tight to produce a visible facial lift. In addition to lifting the skin, threads simultaneously fight aging by inducing a bodily healing response which results in large influxes of collagen at the treatment area.

Recovery

There is some swelling which can last up to 2 weeks but gradually improving each day. However, this swelling will not prevent you from resuming normal activities immediately post-procedure.

Is it painful?

We recommend you take some acetaminophen before the procedure. We also go to great lengths to ensure comfort for our patients, which is why we use an injectable anesthetic for the PDO thread lift. An ice pack can be used to effectively control any pain post-procedure.

Longevity

This procedure will last for 1.5 years. After 6 months the threads will begin to naturally break down to produce collagen.

A PDO thread lift ranges between $900-$1200 per area. This price is contingent upon the number of threads used. A typical patient pays $1500-$2000 for the treatment.
